One of my biggest influences in fashion comes from vintage clothing. I can spend hours poring over the intriguing silhouettes, attention to detail, and the excellence in craftsmanship incorporated into the bulk of garments from years past. It can be a challenge, however, to find a way to update this look into an outfit that is modern and wearable. Luckily for me, there is a market for contemporary clothing with a classic flair, making it easier to pull historical inspiration into an outfit without looking dated. That’s where online retailer Vintage Fringe has found its niche, offering mid-priced merchandise that emphasizes a mixture of trendy and classic elements.
Vintage Fringe is the brainchild of former investment banker Krista Warnick, a Wall Street businesswoman with a not-so-secret dream of owning a clothing boutique filled with high quality pieces and lesser-known brands. She opened up Vintage Fringe in order to fulfill this goal, giving online shoppers the ability to purchase feminine fashions with a slight vintage flair.
The site carries brands such as Ella Moss, Sweet Pea and Splendid. Although they aren’t names many people readily recognize, all of Vintage Fringe’s brands have Warnick’s personal stamp of approval and fit with the store’s overall look. Each brand also has a tendency towards soft, comfortable and conservative designs that are easy to wear. You may not be able to find that hot Saturday night outfit here, but what you will find are timeless classics that are sure to get a ton of wear in any vintage lover’s wardrobe.
Of note: Vintage Fringe has an unbelievable outlet section, with many pieces marked down to half price or more and a set shipping cost of just $7.50!
So, if you’re on the hunt for great modern looks with a vintage edge, head to www.vintagefringe.com to pick up some pretty pieces. Make sure to sign up for the LVCMag newsletter to receive an exclusive discount code, as well!
