Bringing joy and physical wellness to the lives of many

Deni Carruth grew up with an entrepreneur’s mindset. Faced with many challenges early in life, Carruth was diagnosed with a heart problem as a child, and in ninth grade she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Doctors told her that there was no treatment for her arthritis and that by the time she’d reach adulthood, she’d be wheelchair-bound. Feeling sad and afraid, Carruth realized that it was time to take matters into her own hands, and release her fear to God.

She spent many years writing and telling a story of being hurt, feeling hurt, and living hurt. Carruth wrote and sang songs of joy and gratitude, peace and comfort. In spite of this mismatch within her thought process, the spiritually free side of her would always triumph. She always knew that she wanted to bring joy to others, so she never stopped doing what her heart longed for – writing and singing.

She knew the years ahead would be challenging; she prayed for emotional strength and physical healing. Her prayers were answered seven years later when she experienced total healing. Her rheumatoid arthritis was completely gone and hasn’t returned since.

Following a car accident in high school, Carruth suffered for years with chronic back pain. Later, she felt driven to find a way to workout, have fun, play, do whatever she wanted to do, and not have pain. After much research, trial and error, she was finally free from back pain. Carruth experienced an even greater healing this time in her spirit that had been broken from so many years of being told what she could not do.

Carruth began to market her “Not Just Aerobics” program that would teach people how to exercise safely, honoring limitations, and making modifications that were in alignment with how the body moves naturally. She went on to become an exercise therapist where she played an active roll in the rehabilitation process of her patients.

Over the past 28 years, she’s set out as a fitness professional, being trained and/or certified as a physical fitness specialist, personal fitness trainer, group exercise specialist, exercise therapist, pulmonary rehab tech, post-rehab conditioning specialist and corrective exercise specialist. The vision of touching the lives of millions, and helping them see joyous possibilities in their own lives became even stronger. Her mission is to get people moving, physically, emotionally and spiritually. This was the birth of Carruth’s MasterWellness program.

Coaching people has been and still is a huge part of her life as a fitness/health
/wellness professional. In 2007, Carruth completed her life coach certification, and MasterKeysCoaching was born as a part of MasterWellness. Her mission is simple: She believes in, inspires and releases joy to herself and others through her victor lifestyle and “on purpose” business. Carruth saw the desire, need and place for women to connect on a more personal level that would affect each woman on the psychological, physical and spiritual realm. Thus, GirlfriendCoaching (GFC) was born.

GFC was founded in 2008 by Carruth to create a “girl-friendly” atmosphere to gather and coach women who are excited about life and have the desire to get back to the fun part of living their lives to the fullest potential. GFC is all about cultivating a circle of friends that truly know who they are as individuals and are interested in investing in each other’s lives.

Carruth started GFC because of a desire she had within herself to connect with more women who were experiencing some of the stuggles that she had gone through, and be able to help them laugh and learn in the process of living life. She saw the hunger that women had for creating lasting relationships. She wanted to create a haven where women could discover, rediscover or redefine their God-given gifts and talents. The purpose of GFC is to just have fun being girlfriends again by sharing in the celebration of life while also rejuvenating the soul. Those who experience GFC will tap into the wholeness of themselves: Mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

Looking back, Carruth’s entire life was full of overcoming and breaking through emotional, physical and spiritual challenges. Through all of these trials and tribulations, her faith in God has remained strong.

Carruth has discovered a unique gift and calling in her life, a passion and purpose for helping others overcome and breakthrough. Carruth is truly a victor in life!
